Utility bills and bank statements used as address proof are generally required to be dated within the last two months. This applies both to each director's personal address proof and to the registered office proof. An electricity bill from last year is the single most common reason a filing comes back.
If your PAN says one spelling and your Aadhaar another, resolve it before filing rather than during. Mismatches between PAN, Aadhaar and bank records hold up DSC issuance and name approval, and fixing them mid-application costs more time than fixing them first.
You can register at your home. What you need is a recent utility bill for those premises plus a no-objection certificate from whoever owns them. If a director owns the property, the NOC is self-issued. If it's rented, you need the rent agreement as well.
A passport is mandatory as identity proof. Documents must be notarised and apostilled in the country of origin where that country is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, or notarised at the Indian embassy there where it isn't. Anything not in English needs a certified translation. This step routinely takes longer than the incorporation itself, so start it first.
For every director or shareholder: PAN, Aadhaar, one identity proof such as a passport, voter ID or driving licence, one personal address proof dated within the last two months, and a passport-size photograph. For the registered office: a recent utility bill, a no-objection certificate from the owner, and the rent agreement if rented. A Class 3 digital signature certificate is then issued for each director.
Yes. You need a utility bill for the premises dated within the last two months and a no-objection certificate from the owner. If you own the property, the NOC is from yourself.
Generally within the last two months, for both the personal address proof of each director and the registered office proof.
Only if the registered office is rented. If the premises are owned by a director or shareholder, the property document and a self-issued NOC are enough.
A passport as identity proof, with documents notarised and apostilled in the country of origin, or notarised at the Indian embassy where that country is not party to the Apostille Convention. Non-English documents need a certified translation.
There is no incorporation step, so nothing is filed with MCA. In practice banks want two business-existence proofs before opening a current account — commonly Udyam, GST and Shop Act — alongside the proprietor's own PAN and Aadhaar.
This checklist reflects the documents ordinarily required for a standard case and is general information, not advice for your specific facts. Requirements are amended from time to time and the Registrar may ask for additional documents. Professional fees are exclusive of 18% GST; government charges and stamp duty are billed at actuals.
